PGC RTOE Automation for MISO Module constantly evaluates when plant operation is not in line with hourly offer parameters. Its intelligent AI engine discovers opportunities where employing an override through MISO's Real Time Offer Enhancement would be optimal and appropriate.

• Discrepancies between the offer and what the unit can do in real-time cost a great deal in terms of violations and lost opportunity.
• Unplanned derates happen quickly and human intervention to change the offer is not always fast enough to avoid violations.

Features of the PGC RTOE Automation for MISO Module:

• Provides automatic overrides fall into the following categories
  • Hourly Limits (overridden when the software detects that units are not able to meet offer limits):
    • Economic/Regulations/Emergency/Charge/Discharge Minimum and Maximum
  • Hourly Dispatch Status for energy and various types of reserve (overridden when the software detects that units are not able to deploy properly due to telemetry or other issues).
  • Hourly Ramp Rate (overridden when the software detects that units are not able to deploy at the offered ramp rates)
  • Energy Storage Level (overridden when the software detects that telemetered storage levels have changed due to racks going in/out of service or that units are not able to reach the expected limits)
    • Minimum and Maximum
    • For Energy Storage Resources only

  PGC RTOE Automation can either, at the client's discretion:

  • Directly submit the updated offer
